Itinerary

Day 1 : Kathmandu to Dhunche (2,030 m)

  • Travel Time: 6–7 hours by bus
  • Highlights: Scenic drive through mountain roads, terraced farmland, and lush valleys with views of the Langtang Himalayas on clear days.

Day 2 : Dhunche to Syabru Gaun (2,580 m)

  • Trek Duration: 5–6 hours
  • Highlights: Trek through forests of oak, hemlock, and rhododendron. Enjoy stunning views of the Ganesh Himal range, especially as you approach Syabru Gaun, a traditional Tamang village known for its culture and hospitality.

Day 3 : Syabru Gaun to Cholangpati (3,654 m)

  • Trek Duration: 6–7 hours
  • Highlights: Ascend through dense forests, transitioning from lower-altitude greenery to alpine landscapes. Cholangpati offers a fantastic viewpoint of the Langtang and Ganesh Himal ranges.

Day 4 : Cholangpati to Gosaikunda (4,380 m)

  • Trek Duration: 4–5 hours
  • Highlights: Trek along alpine ridges with panoramic views of the mountains. Arrive at Gosaikunda Lake, where you can explore the lake's surroundings and absorb the spiritual atmosphere.

Day 5 : Gosaikunda to Sing Gompa (Chandanbari) (3,250 m)

  • Trek Duration: 5-6 hours
  • Highlights: Cross the stunning Lauribina Pass (4,610 m) and then descend to Sing Gompa, a village known for its monastery and yak cheese factory.

Day 6 : Sing Gompa to Dhunche

  • Trek Duration: 4-5 hours
  • Highlights: Trek through dense forests, passing by scenic clearings and streams as you descend back to Dhunche. This day’s trek is mostly downhill and a relaxing way to complete the hiking portion of the journey.

Day 7 : Dhunche to Kathmandu

  • Travel Time: 6–7 hours by bus or private vehicle
  • Highlights: Return to Kathmandu, enjoying the scenic views along the drive back.
